Today I speak with Katie Makris, a multisport coach specializing in pregnant and postpartum triathletes. She’s a mother to two boys, 2.5 and 5 years old, a three-time Ironman triathlete, 15-time marathoner, and avid cyclist who enjoys clipping into all sorts of adventures on the road, on gravel, and often, indoors on Zwift! Katie’s goal is to to help more women gain access to resources to continue the activities they love with conscious adaptations, and to navigate the ever changing gray area of pregnancy and postpartum fitness, while keeping a safe, healthy environment for themselves and their babies.
Katie has a free e-book which covers not only physical adjustments but mindset in each trimester as well as the critical fourth trimester. She goes over intentions for each trimester, racing if you choose to, adaptations for each sport, recovery, and re-entry to the sport. This is great for triathletes!
