Post-Partum Rehabilitation
Once postpartum, always postpartum! Just because your babies aren’t babies anymore doesn’t mean there aren’t leftover souvenirs from pregnancy and delivery! Whether its avoiding the trampoline because you’re nervous about leaks, pain preventing you from an enjoyable sex life or you’re unable to find an exercise program that meets the needs of your core and your schedule, our work together can be an option to focus on unresolved issues from delivery (vaginal or cesarean section) and build a solid foundation so you can be more active without fear unwelcome interruptions.
What is the fourth trimester?
The 4th Trimester is a term being used to describe the weeks and early months after your delivery, when your baby has been born. Health care involvement remains vitally important to ensure optimal recovery from pregnancy for you as the mother, and optimal postpartum care of your child. A task force within ACOG (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) endorsed the fourth trimester care concept in April 2018—a development that includes physical therapists who have a key role to play in your postpartum care.
